Most of you know me well enough to know that I am a passionate gardener. As such, I place a very high value on bees.
Bees and other pollinators are critical in producing two-thirds of the food crops humans eat every day. This is scientific fact.
But the bees are dying by the billions. The common name for what's killing them is Colony Collapse Disorder.
How can we possibly feed the world's growing population if the bees all die?
Study after study shows that a chemical in readily available home and garden store pesticides is partially to blame for the collapse. It's not the entire cause, but identifying it is a start at least.
I just signed a petition to stop sales of products with this pesticide in them, and I ask that you to sign it too.
This isn't some big activist thing, this is about thinking outside of ourselves and our busy lives to do something that really matters.

Thanks for helping.
